Internet Explorer 7.0 has some security
settings that can interfere with certain functions in ComplianceEssentials.
Please follow the recommended steps below to prevent conflicts between your
browser's settings and ComplianceEssentials:
- Open the Tools menu and go to “Internet Options”.
- Select the General tab, find Browsing History, and click
Settings.
a. Under “Check for newer versions of stored pages:" select “Every
time I visit the webpage"
- Select the Security tab and click on Trusted Sites.
Change the security level to Custom Level. Scroll Down to the
following sections:
Downloads
Enable "Automatic Prompting For Downloads"
Miscellaneous Set the following options to Enable :
a. “Access data sources across domains"
b. “Allow script-initiated
windows without size or position constraints"
c. “Allow Websites to open windows without address or status
bars”
d. “Navigate sub-frames across
different domains”
Disable the following settings: a. “Use Phishing Filter” b. “Use Pop-Up blocker”
Scripting. Make sure the following options are set
to Enable. a. “Active Scripting” b. “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” c. “Allow status bar updates via script” d. “Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted
windows”
Click OK.
Click on Sites and add www.complianceguardian.com
to the trusted sites list.
Click OK.
- Select the Privacy tab, click Sites.
a. In "Address of
website:" enter: https://www.complianceguardian.com. b. Click "Allow"
- If "Turn on Pop-Up Blocker" is checked click "Settings"
a. In "Address of
website to allow:" enter: www.complianceguardian.com. b. Click "Add"
- Go to Content and make sure that the Content Advisor is
disabled.
Note: Seeing “Enable…” means the Content Advisor is Disabled.
- Click Apply and then OK. Close Internet Explorer and re-open it
to allow settings to apply.
